How To Grow Your Email List Super Fast

Everyone wants to build a bigger list. The bigger your email list, the more reach you have. With that reach, you can share your story or just sell more products and services that you are offering.

So how do you build a bigger email list?

It’s really not that hard.

Just implement a few of these strategies I’m going to list below, and you will certainly see a big jump in your email list size.

Write interesting emails – Nobody is going to stay on your email list if the email series you send out is boring. So instead of growing your email list size, it will actually start shrinking because people are clicking the unsubscribe link to get off your list.

Instead, make sure your emails are always interesting. Tell stories, be personal and create open loops in your emails so your subscribers will always look forward to your emails each day. Once you get to this point, your subscribers will become a great source of new email list referrals as they share with their friends and family your awesome email content.

Start a contest giveaway – Contest giveaways are an excellent way of growing your email list. They key is to pick a great prize that will resonate with your subscriber base. Josh Earl wrote a great post about how to do this using the KingSumo wordpress plugin which I suggest you read. Following this method he got over 200k emails in less than 11 days.

Offer Exclusive Discounts – Another way to spice up your email list is to seek out exlusive promo discounts that you can offer to your email list subscribers. Often times, if you are a good affiliate of a certain product, you can convince your affiliate manager to allow you to offer an exclusive discount. Or, you can always just ask.

Just make sure your discount appeals to your target audience. For example, maybe your list consists of small business owners so you send them an email featuring your own exclusive 99designs discount so they can get their next logo or site redesign.

Create a compelling landing page – Designing a landing page that is specifically made to collect emails is one of the best ways to grow your email list faster. To be effective, you need to come up with a lead magnet that will resonate with your target audience. Use this as your carrot to get people to subscribe to your list.

Not everyone will be able to design a landing page themselves. That’s why I recommend using a product like LeadPages which makes creating landing pages super simple. It comes with a wide variety of professionally designed templates, all optimized to getting the most conversions.

Add a Lightbox popup to your site – Some people hate those popup lightbox dialogs that ask visitors for their emails. But truth of the matter is that they work! That’s why so many sites use them.

The best way to add a lightbox popup to your site is with a product like Thrive Leads. What I like about Thrive Leads is that their lightboxes are super customizable, plus it has the best split testing capabilities I’ve seen from any similar product. It’s very cool.

Try Guest Blogging – Maybe your site’s own audience isn’t very big. So why not leverage the audience of a larger blog to get more signups to your list. That’s what you can do with guest blogging. Write some awesome content, and then pitch it to a big blog in your niche. When your guest post gets accepted, make sure you include a persuasive call to action to a dedicated squeeze page on your site to collect those emails.

If you try out just one of these five strategies I mention above, then you will definitely start seeing your email list grow. Or combine several of these techniques to really skyrocket your list size.

Basic Advice For Choosing The Right Web Host Company

Everyone is looking a best web hosting company. But it’s not easy. Even if you have hosted a site with a web hosting company in the past, choosing a new one can still be tough to do. A quick Internet search on the phrase “web host” will bring up thousands of results, and you will find yourself wondering which one will give you the best service for the lowest price. To make your decision much easier, read the article below for some great tips on choosing the best web hosting company.

First, make sure that the company you’re interested in has a way for you to get in contact with them by voice twenty-four hours per day. You don’t want to choose a company that only allows you to contact them via email because you probably won’t get timely answers, and you may end up needing to send a large number of messages to get your point across. Take a moment to look at the contact page of all web hosts you’re interested to make sure they have a 1-800 number where a live person will pick up the phone to help you. No matter how tempted you are by a certain web host, move on if you can’t call them.

You should never sign any contracts without speaking with one or more employees at the company first. You need to personally see how well the employees can handle any questions that you have. If you don’t, you can easily find yourself calling in the future for help and learning that the employees are just not up to par when it’s too late. Before you call, it’s a good idea to write out a list of things you want to talk about with them so that you don’t leave anything out. Employees should never say “I don’t know” and leave you hanging for an answer. Good employees will answer your questions honestly, and if they don’t have an answer, they will do all they can to find the answer for you.

The web host company you choose must have a high amount of uptime. If a website can’t handle keeping your website up as much as possible, don’t waste your time with them. Ask an employee exactly what their stats are for keeping websites online. If you feel that you are being given the run around or they try to tell you that no company can give you an answer about their uptime, head for the hills. You can look online for statistics on the company and read reviews by other customers to see what they say about the company’s uptime versus downtime, too.

Don’t blow your web hosting budget without doing thorough research first. There are many web hosts that charge a lot of money, but that doesn’t automatically mean they offer great service. If you’re on a budget, you also need to realize that going with a company that offers prices that are too good to be true may mean exactly that. Try contacting a variety of companies that offer pricing within your budget range. Choose a company based on the best service you can afford, not solely the pricing.

The decision you make on the right web host should come about based on a wide variety of decisions. In most cases, you will be expected to sign a service contract. This means that you want to make sure up front that you are thorough in your research so that you can secure a contract that includes everything that will make you and your website visitors happy.
